Weather!

 This week in the Banana's class we learned all about the weather! Take a look at the fun we have had! 

Literacy Center

 

 

This week in the literacy center, we completed an activity where we matched two rhyming words together to create a rhyming words tornado. Our friends have become so good at identifying rhyming words!

Math/Table Toys 

 

In the math center we created sunshine patterns. The friends used orange and yellow pipe cleaners to match and/or create their own pattern of sunshine rays.  

Science Center

       

In the science center we experimented with things that the wind might blow. We found our own space in the classroom, used a straw to create the wind, and used items from the science center to see if the wind would blow them or not. We made predictions before doing our experiment. Everyone predicted that the wind would blow the leaves!

Art Center

In the art center, we created our own Little Clouds after listening to the story "Little Cloud." The friends were very creative with the clouds that they made. We also made Sunshine Names in the art center this week. The children wrote a letter on each of the sun rays and glued it on to their sun!

Dramatic Play

Our dramatic play center was set up as a weather station this week! The friends took on different roles as the camera crew, Meteorologist, and news anchors. Check out the weather report some of our friends created this week!
